John 11 Life Condemnation and Feeding 5000 5:25-6:21

We continue in the episodes in which Jesus is rejected by the leaders but welcomed by the masses. Jesus teaches on His authority to judge and the reality that those who will not “listen” to the witness of His Father, John the Baptist, and His works will be condemned by Moses himself on the last day. John 10 The Rejection Begins John 4:43-5:24

In this session we look at the end of chapter 4 and the beginning of chapter 5 in which the people begin to reject Jesus. Because He heals on the Sabbath and claims to be equal with God by calling Him His Father, the leaders begin to make plans to kill Him. In this context Jesus clearly teaches that He has the authority to give life or to confirm condemnation. In this face of this Truth Jesus makes the Gracious call to trust Him, believe in Him in order to pass from death to life.
