the truth
We are all searching for meaning and purpose in life, but left on our own we look in all the wrong places. Because we were born spiritually dead, our ability to see and know the truth was damaged. Jesus said Himself that He is "The Truth." The Bible also tells us that the TRUTH is in Jesus (Ephesians 4:21). If you want to know the TRUTH, you must come to Jesus. In our times, this is a very exclusive and "politically incorrect" idea. However, this is true: Only Jesus reveals the truth about life.
"For there is one God and one intermediary
between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human, who
gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose
at his appointed time."
| 1 Timothy 2:5-6 NET |
In His life, Jesus taught us and showed us what God intended for us to be.
In His death, Jesus offered up Himself for us so that we can be free of all that has held us captive from birth - sin, corruption and death.
In His resurrection, Jesus has revealed the power by which those who trust Him can live an entirely new kind of life - the eternal kind of life.
In His ascension back to Heaven, Jesus has taken his place as the rightful King of all creation and now intercedes for all those who trust in Him.
At His return to Earth, Jesus will give the final proof that He is Lord of All and that everyone will bow to Him.
In the meantime, God is graciously and patiently waiting for this TRUTH of Jesus - the Gospel - to be taken to all people. He wants everyone to see Jesus' love and self-sacrfice so that all may come to Him now to be healed and restored to God. When we ask the question, "Why are we here?" or "Why am I here?" the Bible reveals that we are here to know and serve God and to live for His pleasure. This is the way that we truly discover LIFE.
