Joyce Allen - Class and Materials Coordinator

I'm Joyce Allen, and I serve as class coordinator, tape and materials coordinator, and receptionist, for Truth Seekers. I was born in Memphis, TN, the second of four children, but grew up in Savannah, TN, where my father, Robert Riggan, still lives. After graduating from Central High School in Savannah, I attended Memphis State University.

After a brief career as a medical assistant, I married Phil Allen. Phil and I served as Core Leaders in Community Bible Study while Tom was Teaching Director. For four years I also served as Class Coordinator. In 1997 I came onboard with Truth Seekers to help with the increasing office workload and I have been blessed by filling that role for the past ten years. Phil and I have both attended Tom's Milk to Meat classes as well as his Bible studies for several years and have been greatly blessed by what we have learned through his gift of teaching.

I totally enjoyed my years as housewife and mother while our three children were still in the house. Our oldest son Tripp married Lisa Burrows. They have two sons, Austin and Eric. They live in Humboldt, South Dakota and are both Ramp Agents for Federal Express. Our daughter Edie married Terry Schrimscher. They have a son, Andrew, and a daughter, Sara. They live in Odenville, Alabama. Edie is secretary to the project managers at Rives Construction Company. Our youngest son Robert is married to Gelaina Davis. They have a son, Myres and two daughters, Ansley and Chloe. They live in Brandon, MS, where Robert is President of Oil and Gas Accounting Services, Inc. Myres was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 3 months and suffered through major health problems but currently is doing well. Neither of the girls have CF.

Phil has taught some of our Milk to Meat classes for the past four years. I find it very gratifying and affirming to see first hand what God is doing in so many lives through Truth Seekers as they come through our "doors" and share their stories with us.
