Meanwhile, John, exiled on the island of Patmos, receives messages and visions from Jesus Christ that are meant to challenge, rebuke and encourage these churches. As these early believers are faced with the oppression of the empire, they are also reminded of the reality that their Savior is also the Lord and God of all creation and everything will be set right by Him.
