Phase 3 | FAITHFUL |

| ALIVE > AWARE > AWAKE > FREE > FAITHFUL > FRUITFUL |

2 Timothy 2:2
… entrust what you heard me say in the presence of many others as witnesses to faithful people who will be competent to teach others as well. (NET)
1 Corinthians 4:2
Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful. (NET)

Within each generation, God is raising up faithful followers to live with a passion for His mission. Undistracted by the schemes of the Enemy, we seek to focus our lives on Christ, following Him wherever He may lead us. In the first half of PHASE 3, we explore what it means to be a faithful disciple / apprentice of Jesus.

MTM Step 3.1 | Focusing on Christ |

Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God. Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up. (NET)

Without VISION, we accomplish very little that is truly significant. Here we want to cultivate a vision for what life is like as we focus on Christ and intend to follow Him wherever He may lead us. In these six lessons, we look at what hinders us from surrendering to Christ completely and how God the Father working in Christ through the Holy Spirit is leading us and empowering us to live a life of self-sacrifice for eternal glory.

MTM Step 3.2 | Following Christ |

Matthew 16:24-25
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone wants to become my follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (NET)

Without a sense of MISSION our VISION does not move very far. In this workbook, we focus on the issues that must be faced in the call to follow Christ faithfully. Christ calls us to let go of everything in this life so that we treasure Him above all else. Only by letting go of all that we grasp at for success, safety and self-gratification and trusting Christ with our lives do we discover the significance, security and satisfaction that we truly and deeply desire.
